Every measuring technique reaches its limits at somepoint: extreme temperatures, high pressure in the container, aggressive media or problematic physical features of the product make precise measurement of level, limit level, interface or density impossible.
 
The good news: the new, radiation-based instrument series ProTrac delivers exact and reliable results with the help of gamma rays even in the most difficult measuring situations. A low activity source – safely embedded in a source holder – emits its radiation in the direction of the measured product. The radiation penetrates through the container wall as well as the measured product, gets damped in the process and is received by a detector. The measurement is external to the process and is therefore maintenance-free.
